Finance & Accounting Manager
Location: Bangkok, Thailand

About the position
JUMP!’s Finance & Accounting Manager is to be located in the Bangkok hub. This individual will be an outgoing and goal-oriented professional who will play a lead role in operating a multi-regional organizational structure, with two hubs in Bangkok, Thailand and Beijing, China and offices in Vancouver, Canada & Melbourne, Australia. The Finance & Accounting Manager will work closely with the Director of Finance and senior management team to execute organizational responsibilities as directed by the Board of Directors. The role involves management and oversight of the finance and accounting functions of the organization and continuously improving the quality and efficiency related systems and processes.
Responsibilities
The Finance & Accounting Manager will have competence and flexibility in a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Ensures bookkeeping / accounting is kept up to date in Xero accounting software by ensuring accurate financial information is prepared internally.
- Improve and maintain financial reporting system and general ledger structure.
- Provides financial oversight and supports the financial systems and processes for China operations and Global operations.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
- Coordinates the annual audit process with the auditor in Hong Kong, and ensures it is completed in a timely manner.
- Manages payroll and reimbursements, and liaises with the cashier to organize bank transfers to internal and external parties.
- Creates reliable, relevant and insightful monthly reporting, forecasts and budgets and presents information effectively to the senior management team and the Board.
- Assist in organizational-wide forecasting, budgeting and reporting, including both short and long-term forecasts which informs the strategic plan.
- Reviews and approves program and regional budgets with partnership managers, and undertakes regular review of regional finances with them.
- Directs and manages the end-to-end program finance process, including contracting, invoicing, payment tracking, expense reimbursement, and post-program evaluation of budget vs actual expenditure.
- Coaches and trains program staff in following and understanding organizational and program related financial processes.
Eligibility
- Minimum 5+ years of management and finance/accounting experience, and preferably hold an MBA qualification.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where there are strict deadlines and priorities may change quickly from day-to-day.
- Enjoys the challenge of driving forward big projects independently and with minimal supervision e.g. implementing new financial software.
- Possess advanced Excel skills, excellent analytical skills and proven strong financial modelling skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; at ease in liaising with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including presenting to senior management.
- Fluency in Thai language is a preference by not required.
Ideal qualities
- Prior experience managing an international team, preferably in Asia; exposure to working in a start-up environment is particularly desirable.
- Previous management experience with a non-profit organization.
- Interest in experiential education and passion for working with youth.
- Conversational proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and/or Thai.

Marketing & Communications Manager

About the position
You will be asked to take on new things with little guidance. You’ll have to figure out challenges, often on your own, and fail more often than succeed. Your focus should be on creating tons of cool product that can help JUMP! convey and create value for all our partners, and be open to editing those designs to deliver a product that represents the whole of JUMP!. You will always be supported by an amazing group of individuals from around the world, and they need to see designs and product in action; intangible ideas won’t work.
Responsibilities
The Marketing & Communications Manager will have competence and flexibility in a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:
- JUMP! for the outside world
- JUMP!’s social media output; strategy and publishing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blog, Website, and other outlets as agreed with JUMP!
- Organizing and sharing updates across JUMP! verticals and programs, from J!Development, J!Schools, J!Experiences, and J!Corporate
- Organizing JUMP’s various media content
- Website maintenance, design, & improvement
- Enabling people to understand our impact by developing annual reports
- JUMP! backstage
- Designing modular documents routinely used by JUMP!ers eg Sketches, End of Program Reports, Program Flows, etc
- Building a platform for the J!Story with regular updates for team
- Fixing the wiki
- Identifying JUMP!’s audience and how to most effectively captivate them
- Helping to identify and implement effective media management tools
- Evaluating, developing, and implementing new processes to enhance JUMP!’s marketing strategy
Eligibility
- Have at least a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Have a background in design thinking, and systems design
- Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign, & WordPress
Ideal qualities
- Creative and product oriented
- Proficient in English
- Strong organizational skills
- Out of the box thinking
- Eager to understand facilitation and to work with students
